Flight cancellations ng Cebu Pacific suportado ng MIAA

Sinuportahan ng Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) ang serye ng flight cancellations ng Cebu Pacific na nagsimula huling linggo ng Abril at magpapatuloy sa buong Mayo.

Sa isang statement, sinabi ni MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal na suportado nila ang hakbang ng Cebu Pacific na para naman umano sa pagsasaayos ng flight operations at pagpapaganda sa on-time performance.

Umabot sa 58 domestic flights ang kinansela mula Abril 30 hanggang Mayo 10 at 10 biyahe ang ibabawas kada araw para sa operational recovery ng paliparan.

Kung ito umano ang kinakailangan sa pagsasaayos ng operasyon ay dapat itong gawin.

Naniniwala si Monreal na lahat ng salik ay masusing ikinonsidera ng Cebu Pacific para umabot sa ganitong desisyon.

“If this is what it takes to address their operational constraints, so be it. We believe all factors were carefully considered by Cebu Pacific in reaching a decision as crucial as this,” ani Monreal.

Inabisuhan naman ni Monreal ang mga pasahero na mag-antabay sa mga advisories para sa status ng kanilang mga biyahe.

Samantala, pinatitiyak ni Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade sa Cebu Pacific at airport authorities na mabibigyan ng kaukulang tulong ang mga apektadong pasahero.

“Airlines should make sure that the Air Passenger Bill of Rights is strictly observed. All necessary assistance should be given to passengers. ‘Wag na natin dagdagan ang hirap nila. Let us exert all efforts to attend to their needs,” ani Tugade.
