Malacañang pabor na imbestigahan ang pagdagsa ng mga dayuhang duktor sa bansa

Suportado ng Malacañang ang panukala ni Senador Richard Gordon na imbestigahan ang pagdagsa ng mga dayuhang doktor sa bansa.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, wala namang masama sa hakbang ni Gordon na siya ring chairman ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.

Sinabi ng kalihim na mahalagang malaman kung bakit dumarami at kung saang bansa nanggagaling ang mga dayuhang duktor.

Pero ayon kay Panelo, maging ang mga Pinoyna duktior ay nangingibang bansa rin para magtrabaho.

Una rito, sinabi ni Gordon na nakababahala ang pagdagsa ng mga dayuhang duktor sa bansa dahil labag ito sa reciprocity requirement ng Republic Act 2382 o Medical Act of 1959.

Ilang Pakistani at Nepalese doctors aniya ang nagpa- practice ng medicine sa ospital sa Olongapo City bilang medical consultants.

“Kaya tama ‘yun, he should really investigate the whys and the wherefores of this influx of foreign doctors in the country para malaman natin” ayon kay Panelo.
