Napatay ng pulisya ang pinaka-wanted na lalaki sa lalawigan ng Cebu at ang kasabwat nito sa shootout sa Barangay Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City araw ng Lunes.
Ayon kay Police Captain Alejandro Batobalonos, Cebu Provincial Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit chief, patay sa shootout sina Gerly Luwagi, 27 anyos at Junel Lasam, parehong taga Barangay Lawaan 3 sa Talisay City.
Naganap ang shootout sa gitna ng pagsisilbi ng arrest warrant laban kay Luwagi sa apartment nito.
Si Luwagi ay pinapaaresto ni Judge Glenda Go ng Branch 65 ng Talisay City RTC dahil sa kasong pagbebenta ng droga.
Pero bumunot umano ng baril ang suspek at nagpaputok kaya gumanti ang mga pulis.
Narekober ang 200 gramo ng shabu sa bahay ni Luwagi.
Sa pagtaya ng otoridad, nasa P1.3 million ang halaga ng shabu na nakuha sa suspek.
