Canada minamadali na ang pagkuha sa basurang itinambak sa Pilipinas

Minamadali na umano ng Canada ang pagkuha sa basura na itinapon ng bansa sa Pilipinas.

Pahayag ito ni Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines John Holmes sa panayam matapos ang forum sa Ateneo de Manila University.

“We are working closely, collaboratively with the Philippine government and we have already indicated that we are prepared to take the trash back and so this is an issue that both government have to work together and solve together,” ani Holmes.

Ang Pahayag ng Canadian envoy ay sa gitna ng deadline na ibinigay ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na kunin na ang basura sa linggong ito kundi ay magdeklara ito ng giyera laban sa Canada.

Bagamat sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo na ang bantang giyera ay “figure of speech lamang,” mananatili anya ang ultimatum ng Pangulo.

Matatandaan na sa pagitan ng 2013 at 2014, nasabat ng Bureau of Customs ang kabuuang 103 containers ng halo-halong mga basura mula Canada na idineklarang “recyclable scrap plastics.”
