Sahod ng mga kasambahay sa Ilocos, Cordillera at W. Visayas itinaas ng NWPC
Inaprubahan ng National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) ang umento sa minimum wage ng mga kasambahay sa Cordillera, Ilocos, at Western Visayas simula sa Mayo.
Para sa Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR), aprubado ang P1,000 na umento sa sahod sa mga lungsod at first-class municipalities at P500 sa iba pang lugar.
Dahil dito, ang mga kasambahay sa Baguio City at La Trinidad ay makatatanggap na ng minimum wage na P4,000 sa susunod na buwan mula sa kasalukuyang P3,000.
Samantala, ang umento naman sa household helpers sa Ilocos Region ay P1,000 at P500 naman sa Western Visayas.
Iginiit ni NWPC Executive Director Criselda Sy na ang pagtatakda sa minimum wage ay uri ng social protection para sa mga manggagawa.
