Domestic workers sa Visayas may P500 na umento sa sahod
Inanunsyo ng National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) araw ng Miyerkules ang umento sa sahod ng domestic workers sa Western Visayas simula sa May 8.
Ayon sa NWPC, inaprubahan ng Western Visayas region wage board ang P500 na dagdag sa buwanang sahod ng domestic workers sa Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras at Iloilo.
Dahil sa umento, mula sa P3,500 ay magiging P4,000 na ang minimum wage ng mga manggagawa sa mga lungsod at first class municipalities sa Western Visayas.
Mula naman sa dating P3,000 ang domestic workers sa iba pang lugar ng rehiyon ay makatatanggap na ng P3,500 buwanang sahod.
Ayon sa NWPC, ang umento ay upang makasabay ang mga manggagawa sa tumataas na cost of living sa rehiyon.
