US hindi magpapadala ng mga opisyal sa Belt and Road forum ng China

Hindi magpapadala ng mga kinatawan ang Estados Unidos sa Belt and Road forum summit na tumatalakay sa global infrastructure project ni Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Ito ang kinumpirma ng US embassy spokesperson sa foreign media sa kabila ng unang pahayag ni Chinese Foreign Minister Wang na dadalo ang American diplomats sa nasabing forum.

“The United States has no plans to send officials from Washington to the Belt and Road Forum,” ayon sa US embassy spokesperson.

Tinawag ng US na ‘vanity project’ ang forum.

Ngayong araw magsisimula ang Belt and Road Forum na inaasahang lalahukan ng mga lider mula sa 37 bansa.

Nanagawan naman ang US sa mga bansa na siguruhing magiging maayos, inclusive at sustainable ang kanilang economic diplomacy initiatives.

“We call upon all countries to ensure that their economic diplomacy initiatives adhere to internationally-accepted norms and standards, promote sustainable, inclusive development, and advance good governance and strong economic institutions,” panawagan ng embahada.

Ang unang Belt and Road forum noong 2017 ay dinaluhan ni White House adviser Matt Pottinger.
