Kauna-unahang Pinoy-made hybrid electric train babiyahe na simula May 6

Inanunsyo ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST) ang tuluyang pagbiyahe ng kauna-unahang Filipino-made hybrid electric train (HET) simula sa May 6.

Kahapon, isinagawa ang inaugural run ng nasabing tren na mismong dinesenyo at ginawa ng DOST engineers at local fabricators.

Ipinasilip at ipinaranas sa media at ilang mamamayan ang biyahe ng hybrid train na tumakbo mula Alabang Station ng Philippine National Railways (PNR) hanggang Biñan Station.

Ang Alabang-Biñan route ang magiging biyahe ng tren mula sa May 6 at libre ang pagsakay dito sa unang 19 na araw.

Ayon sa DOST, kukumpletuhin na lang ng hybrid train ang 150 hours na run time bilang bahagi ng turnover process.

Tiniyak ng kagawaran na komportable ang pagsakay sa tren dahil sa malamig nitong airconditioning units, may CCTV system, LED TV sets at automatic sliding doors.
