Duterte nagpasalamat sa Diyos sa hindi gaano kalakihang pinsala ng lindol
Nagpasalamat si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Diyos dahil ang magnitude 6.1 na lindol sa Luzon ay hindi magdudulot ng gaanong malaking pinsala sa ekonomiya at hindi marami ang nasawi.
Sa situation briefing sa San Fernando, Pampanga, sinabi ng presidente na hindi niya minamaliit ang problema ngunit nagpapasalamat siya sa Diyos dahil maliit ang bilang ng nasawi.
“I’m not trying to belittle the problem. To me, it’s just maybe a few towns hard hit. Thank God that we have the barest minimum of deaths,” ani Duterte.
Naniniwala ang pangulo na kayang makontrol ang lokal na ekonomiya at wala ring ipatutupad na price control.
Wala rin umanong panic sa mga mamamayan maliban na lamang sa mga nasa ospital at mga namatayan.
“I think that the local economy can very well be controlled. There’s no panic about the people except for those who are in the hospitals and ‘yung namatayan,” giit ng presidente.
“I do not think that there’s so much damage as to cause an imbalance in the economic cycle of this place sa tingin ko. No price control or none,” dagdag ni Duterte.
Pinasalamatan naman ng presidente ang militar at pulisya sa pagpapanatili ng peace and order sa lugar.
Ang Pampanga ang pinakamalalang naapektuhan ng lindol kung saan hindi bababa sa 15 ang nasawi at maraming imprastraktura ang nasira.
