Mga establisimyento sa Manila Bay, oobligahin nang gumamit ng sewer lines – DENR
Oobligahin na ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) ang mga establisyemento na nasa kahabaan ng Manila Bay na gumamit ng sewer lines o gumawa ng sariling sewerage treatment plants para matiyak na magiging maayos at malinis ang kanilang wastewater base.
Base sa Memorandum Circular 2019-01 na inilabas ni DENR Secretary Roy Cimatu, inaatasan ng lahat ng government facilities, subdivisions, condominiums, commercial centers, hotels, hospitals, public buildings at iba pang kahalintulad na establisyemnto na kinakailangan na kumonekta sa mga sewerage systems ang kanilang waste water o hindi kaya ay gumawa ng sariling sewerage treatment plants.
Ayon kay Cimatu, may naghihintay na kaukulang parusa para sa sinumang hindi tatalima sa kautusan.
Matatandaang daan-daang notices of violations at cease and desist orders na ang nailabas ng DENR at Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) sa mga establisyemento na hindi maayos na nagtatapon ng waste water.
Target ng DENR na ibalik sa malinis ang tubig sa Manila Bay para magamit sa paliligo.
