Mga pelikulang Pinoy, wagi sa Texas film fest

“Rainbow Sunset”

Big win ang Filipino indie film na “Rainbow Sunset” matapos makuha ang 3 major awards sa 52nd Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival sa Texas, USA.

Ang pelikula ay ukol sa matandang lalaki na ginampaman ni Eddie Garcia na umamin sa kanyang pamilya na isa itong bakla at may relasyon sa kapwa lalaki na ginampanan ni Toni Mabesa.

Nasungkit nito ang Special Jury Prize gayundin ang Gold Remi awards para sa best story at best actor para kina Garcia at Mabesa.

Isa pang nakakuha ng parangal ang pelikulang “School Service” na nabigyan ng 2 Gold Remi awards sa ilalim ng Foreign Language category at Asian Cinema section.

Samantala, nakuha ng “Ngiti ni Nazareno” ang Bronze Remi award para sa Short Film Drama category habang ang short film na “Last Order” ay nakakuha ng Platinum Remi award.
