Andaya: Pork funds ng Senado, ‘intact’ sa 2019 budget na nilagdaan ni Duterte
Ipinahiwatig ni Camarines Sur Rep. Rolando Andaya Jr. na “intact” o buo pa rin ang umanoy pork barrel funds ng mga Senador sa 2019 national budget na kakapirma lamang ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Ayon kay Andaya, chairman ng House appropriations committee, ito ang posibleng dahilan kaya sinasabi ng Senado na nagtagumpay sila dahil sa pag-veto ng Pangulo o pagtanggal sa P95.3 billion na amyenda ng Kamara.
“My friends in the Senate are going to town claiming victory over the deletion of the House amendments. Does this mean that the Senate pork remains intact? Could this be the reason for their celebratory mood…Hindi Biyernes Santo sa Senado ngayon kundi Pasko,” ani Andaya.
Muling nanawagan ang kongresista sa mga Senador na ihayag ang sarili nilang “insertions” sa General Appropriations Bill (GAB).
Hiniling din ni Andaya sa Malakanyang na agad ilabas ang buong veto message ni Pangulong Duterte dahil baka anya “conditional” lamang ang veto.
Nilagdaan ni Senate Pres. Tito Sotto ang GAB noong March 26 pero hiniling nito sa Pangulo na i-veto ang P75 billion na halaga ng infrastructure programs na anyay ilegal na ni-realign ng Kamara matapos maratipika ang panukalang budget noong February 8.
Pero iginigiit ni Andaya na hindi ginawa ang realignment matapos ang ratipikasyon dahil authorized na ito sa bicameral conference committee report.
