Pangulong Duterte, bubuo ng bagong panel para kausapin ang NPA
May ikinakasang bagong panel si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para makipag usap sa New People’s Army (NPA).
Ito ay kung nanaisin pa aniya ng rebeldeng grupo na makipag-usap sa gobyerno.
Ayon sa pangulo, maaaring buuin ang panel ng limang katao, tatlong militar at dalawang sibilyan.
“But if he would just agree to talk peacefully… But I ended it. If you want to talk to me, I’ll send someone else. You talk to each other. I don’t want to talk anymore. I abolished the peace panel too. It’s been three years but I wasn’t even able to achieve anything. So I’ll look for another way and new people to talk to. Maybe one, two, or three from the military, and… Maybe around five. Two civilians and three from the military” ayon sa pangulo.
Dismayado ang pangulo dahil tatlong taon na siyang nanunungkulan sa malakanyang subalit hanggang ngayon ay wala pang naatim sa usaping pangkapayapaan.
Matatandaang binuwag na ni Pangulong Duterte ang government peace panel at itinigil na ang pakikipag-usap sa NPA dahil sa patuloy na pang-aambush ng rebeldeng grupo sa mga sundalo at pulis.
