BOC naglunsad ng online system para sa buwis ng imported products

Para maiwasan ang kotongan at technical smuggling sa mga pantalan ay inilunsad ng Bureau of Customs ang online platform para sa tamang valuation ng mga imported products.

Sa inilabas ng na ulat ng BOC, kanilang sinabi na layunin ng web-based National Value Verification System (NVVS), na ipakita ang tamang halaga o value ng buwis na babayaran para sa isang partikular na commodity.

Laman ng nasabing online system ang detalye tulad ng halaga at lugar na pinagmulan ng isang imported product na itatala sa Harmonized System (HS) code.

Dagdag pa ng BOC, “The NVVS will ensure that updated and correct valuation is being implemented in all ports nationwide. Hence, the system is also an effective tool in addressing the issue of benchmarking in the BOC through application of correct values of goods entering the ports.”

Sa ilalim ng NVVS, ang mga assessment officers ng BOC ay may pagkakataong i-verify ang idineklarang value ng imported product ng isang importer online.

Ang nasabing bagong sistema ay bilang pagsunod ng BOC sa Republic Act No. 10863, na kilala rin bilang Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
