8 sundalo sugatan sa engkwentro sa NPA sa Misamis Occidental
Sugatan ang walong sundalo matapos makasagupa ang mga miyembro ng New People’s Army (NPA) sa Misamis Occidental.
Naganap ang sagupaan sa Barangay Nueva Vista, sa bayan ng Don Victoriano.
Ayon kay Lt. Col. John Andrada, commander ng 10th infantry battalion ng Philippine Army, pinagbabaril ng NPA ang military detachment nila at saka mabilis tumakas.
Agad namang nagtalaga ng pwersa para habulin ang mga rebelde nang biglang may sumabog na IED malapit sa barangay hall ng Napangan.
May mga rebelde ding nasaktan sa nagpatuloy napalitan ng putok.
Dahil sa nasabing sagupaan, inilikas ang 72 katao sa lugar at pansamantalang namalagi sa municipal gym ng Don Victoriano at 80 naman ang dinala sa Napangan barangay ecavuation center.
