DOT: First aid facilities requirement na sa mga tourist destination

Posibleng ipasara ng Department of Tourism (DOT) ang mga accommodation facilities na walang first aid staff.

Paliwanag ni Tourism Assistant Secretary Maria Rica Bueno, isang mandatory requirement ang pagkakaroon ng first aid staff sa mga DOT-accredited accommodation facility para sa pag-responde sa anumang uri ng insidente.

Nakasaad ito sa ilalim ng Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) ng Republic Act 9593 o Tourism Act of 2009.

Isa sa mga accreditation standard para sa primary tourism enterprises (PTE) ay ang pagkakaroon ng first aif facility. Ayon kay Bueno, oras na i-suspinde ang accreditation ng isang establisimyento, agad itong ipapaalam sa local government unit para mabigyan ng kaukulang parusa.
