Maraming lalawigan ang nakaranas na naman ng napakaalinsangang panahon kahapon, April 8.
Sa datos ng PAGASA, 10 lugar ang nagtala ng higit 41 degrees Celsius na maximum heat index.
Kapag ang heat index ay umabot sa 41 hanggang 54 degrees Celsius, mas mataas na ang tyansa ng heat cramps at heat exhaustion at gayundin ang heatstroke.
Kahapon, pinakamataas ang heat index sa Dagupan City, Pangasinan, na umabot sa 44.1 degrees Celsius at halos sampung puntos na mataas sa actual air temperature na 34.2 degrees Celsius lamang.
Sumunod ang Cuyo, Palawan at San Jose City, Occidental Mindoro na may 43.7 at 43.5 degrees Celsius na heat indices.
Ayon kay weather specialist Meliton Guzman, noong March 16, umabot sa 53.7 degrees Celsius ang heat index sa Laoag City at 48.2 degrees Celsius naman sa Dagupan City noong April 3.
