Sumiklab ang sunog sa isang dumpsite sa Mandaue City, Cebu Linggo ng tanghali.
Ayon kay Senior Fire Officer 1 Dominic Lastimoso ng Mandaue City Fire Department, nasunog ang mga damo at tambak ng basura sa dumpsite sa bahagi ng Barangay Umapad.
Nagsimula ang apoy dakong 11:39 ng umaga at itinaas pa sa ikalawang alarma bandang 12:15 ng tanghali.
Agad rumesponde ang mga bumbero sa naturang sunog.
Makalipas ang 30 minuto, idineklara nang fire under control bandang 12:47 ng hapon.
