Suspek sa 2015 Mamasapano clash arestado sa Cotabato City
Naaresto ng mga otoridad sa Cotabato City araw ng Sabado ang isang suspek sa pagpatay ng mga miyembro ng PNP Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) sa enkuwentro sa Mamasapano, Maguindanao noong 2015.
Ayon sa PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG), arestado si Tamano Esmail Sabpa, kilala rin bilang Tamano Sabpa Esmael, sa parking area ng isang ospital.
Ang pag-aresto ay isinagawa ng mga miyembro ng CIDG sa Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) at mga pulis ng Cotabato City Police.
Noong January 25, 2017 naglabas ng arrest warrant si Judge Alandrex Betoya ng Branch 15 ng Regional Trial Court sa Kabacan, Cotabato laban sa suspek para sa kasong direct assault.
Nakumpiska sa suspek ang kanyang ID na nagpapakita na miyembro ito ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
Matatandaan na sinalakay ng PNP-SAF ang kuta ng Malaysian terrorist na si Marwan sa Mamasapano noong 2015 pero nagkaroon ng bakbakan na tumagal ng 12 oras at nagresulta sa pagkamatay ng 44 SAF commandos, 17 MILF members at 5 sibilyan.
