Sara Duterte: Pagsuspinde sa writ of habeas corpus hindi maaaring gawin ng Pangulo
Hindi maaaring suspendihin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang privilege of the writ of habeas corpus ayon mismo sa kanyang anak na si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
Sa talumpati sa Puerto Princesa Huwebes ng gabi ay nagbabala ang presidente sakaling mapuno na sa kanyang mga kritiko.
Sa panayam ng media sa Cagayan de Oro City araw ng Biyernes, iginiit naman ni Sara na hindi maaaring suspendihin ng pangulo ang writ of habeas corpus dahil Kongreso lamang ang makagagawa nito sa ilalim ng Konstitusyon.
Ang pangulo at ang kanyang anak ay parehong abogado.
“If you go by it legally the President cannot suspend the writ of habeas corpus only the Congress can do that under the constitution,” ani Sara.
Ayon pa sa nakababatang Duterte, kung may pahayag ang kanyang ama na ganoon ay aalamin pa niya kung ano ang naging basehan nito.
