MMDA nagtakda ng 60kph speed limit sa EDSA at iba pang kalsada

Nagtakda na ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ng maximum speed limit na 60 kilometers per hour at EDSA at ilang pangunahing kalsada sa Metro Manila.

Sa inilabas na Regulation No. 19-00, papatawan ng multang P1,000 ang sinumang lumabag sa bagong batas.

Ayon sa MMDA, ang mabilis na takbo ng mga sasakyan ang kadalasang nagiging sanhi ng aksidente sa kalsada.

Maliban sa EDSA epektibo din ang bagong speed limit policy sa mga sumusunod na kalsada:

– Recto Avenue
– Pres. Quirino Avenue
– Araneta Avenue
– EDSA
– C. P. Garcia Avenue
– Southeast Metro Manila Expressway
– Roxas Boulevard
– Taft Avenue
– South Luzon Expressway (SLEX)
– Shaw Boulevard
– Ortigas Avenue
– Magsaysay Boulevard o Aurora Boulevard
– Quezon Avenue o Commonwealth Avenue
– A. Bonifacio Avenue
– Rizal Avenue
– Del Pan o Marcos Highway o McArthur Highway.

Samantala, hindi naman kasama sa speed limit policy ang mga bus at trak.
