Guidelines sa overseas absentee voting muling pinaalala ng Comelec

Sampung araw bago ang pagsisimula ng overseas voting para sa 2019 midterm elections, nagpaalala ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa pagboto ng mga overseas voter.

Sa Twitter, inihayag ni Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez ang tatlong main voter education tips sa mga overseas voters.

Una, hindi ilalabas ang resulta ng overseas voting hanggang hindi natatapos ang voting period para sa May 13.

Magsisimula ang midterm elections sa ibang bansa mula April 13 hanggang May 13 habang dito naman sa Pilipinas ay sa May 13 mula alas sais ng umaga hanggang alas sais ng gabi.

Para sa mga seafarer, maaaring bumoto saanman pansamantalang dumaong ang kanilang barko sa kasagsagan ng overseas voting period.

At panghuli, sinabi ni Jimenez na maaring gawin ang overseas voting nang personal, electronic mail, manual voting o gamit ang vote-counting machine.

Ayon sa Comelec, nasa 1.8 milyong overseas voters ang inaasahang makikiisa sa midterm polls.
