SC makikipag-ugnayan sa PDEA ukol sa 13 hukom na sangkot sa droga

Binigyan ng Korte Suprema ng authorization si Associate Justice Diosdado M. Peralta na makipag-ugnayan sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) kaugnay ng listahan ng mga hukom na umanoy dawit sa kalakalan ng droga.

Sa press briefing matapos ang summer session sa Baguio City, sinabi ni SC Public Information Office (PIO) head Brian Keith Hosaka na hindi kinukunsinti ng Korte Suprema ang anumang iligal o tiwaling aktibidad sa kanilang hanay.

Inatasan ng SC en banc si Peralta na direktang makipag-ugnayan sa PDEA para bigyan daan ang pormal na fact-finding at administrative investigation ng isyu.

Una rito ay inihayag ng PDEA na 13 judges at 10 prosecutors ang nasa narco-list pero hindi sila pinangalanan.

Kaugnay ng mga prosecutors na sangkot sinabi naman ni Justice Sec. Menardo Guevarra na personal niyang pangungunahan ang imbestigasyon.

Noong 2016 ay inabswelto ng Korte Suprema ang apat na incumbent trial court judges na isinangkot ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa illegal drugs trade.
