Epekto ng El Niño sa paglago ng ekonomiya, mababa lang ayon sa NEDA
Bahagya lang ang magiging epekto ng El Niñp sa ekonomiya ng bansa.
Ayon kay Socioeconomic Planning Secretary and NEDA chief Ernesto Pernia ang sektor ng agrikultura ang labis na maaapektuhan ng tagtuyot.
Ang epekto aniya nito sa gross domestic product (GDP) ay magiging maliit lamang.
Samantala, sinabi ni NEDA Assistant Secretary for Planning and Policy Carlos Bernardo Abad Santos sa inisyal na pagtaya ay magdudulot ang El Niño ng 0.2% lang na bawas sa full-year GDP ng bansa.
Maliban dito, ikinunsidera na umano ng NEDA ang epekto ng weather phenomenon nang ilabas nila ang revised 6 to 7 percent GDP target para ngayong 2019.
