Campaign materials, bawal sa LRT 1 at 2

Tiniyak ng Light Rail Management Corporation (LRMC) na hindi maglalagay sa lahat ng istasyon ng Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) ng anumang klase ng campaign material para sa 2019 midterm elections.

Ito ay matapos ipag-utos ni Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Rowena Guanzon sa pamunuan ng LRT-1 at LRT-2 ang pag-alis ng mga political ad sa mga istasyon ng tren, partikular ang Malasakit center posters.

Paliwanag ni LRMC Head of Corporate Communications Rochelle Gamboa, ipinagbawal ang paglalagay ng tarpaulin at ipinatupad ang “No to Single Use Plastic Policy” sa mga istasyon simula pa noong January 23, 2019.

Nilinaw din nito na hindi tumatanggap ang LRT-1 ng political ads simula nang pamunuan ito ng LRMC taong 2015.

Matatandaang tinawag din ng Comelec ang atensyon ng Department of Health (DOH) hinggil sa Malasakit center posters na may larawan at pangalan ni senatorial aspirant Christopher “Bong” Go.
