Panibagong batch ng distressed OFWs mula UAE, nakauwi na ng Pilipinas

Balik-Pilipinas na ang panibagong batch ng 51 distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFW) mula Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Linggo ng umaga.

Dumating ang Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR 659 lulan ang mga OFW sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 dakong 8:14 ng umaga.

Ayon sa Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), karamihan sa mga OFW ay undocumented o runaway workers sa Gulf state.

Sumalubong sa mga OFW ang ilang tauhan ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) para tulungan sa kanilang Immigration documentation.

Pansamantala namang mamamalagi ang ilang OFW na uuwi sa malalayong probinsya sa OWWA half-way house.
