CamSur isinailalim sa state of calamity dahil sa epekto ng El Niño
Nagdeklara ng state of calamity si Camarines Sur Gov. Miguel “Migs” Villafuerte dahil sa epekto ng El Niño sa mga pananim sa lalawigan.
Ayon kay Villafuerte, layon nitong mas mapabilis ang livelihood assistance at pagbibigay ng relief goods sa mga apektadong magsasaka at residente.
Hiniling na rin ni Villafuerte sa Department of Agriculture at sa national government na magsagawa ng cloud seeding sa kanilang lalawigan.
Kaugnay nito, hinimok ng provincial government ang mga magsasaka na magtanim ng mga gulay na hindi gaanong mangangailangan ng maraming tubig.
Sa ngayon, nagsusuplay na ng potable water ang provincial governement sa nasa 1,036 na barangay sa Camarines Sur na labis na apektado ng El Niño.
