Sara Duterte: Martin Romualdez susunod na House Speaker

Inendorso ni Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte si dating Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez para maging susunod na Speaker ng House of Representatives.

Si Romualdez ay tumatakbong kongresista ng 1st District ng Leyte sa ilalim ng Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats party.

Ang endorsement ni Sara Duterte kay Romualdez ay naganap sa campaign rally ng Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) sa Tacloban City.

“Si Congressman Martin Romualdez ang susunod na Speaker ng House of Representatives,” ani Duterte.

Si Romualdez ay pamangkin ni dating first Lady Imelda Marcos at tumakbo sa pagkasenador noong 2016 ngunit panglabinlima lamang sa botohan.

Nagpasalamat naman si Romualdez kay Duterte dahil sa tiwala at kumpyansa nito para iendorso siya bilang susunod na Speaker ng Kamara.

“Nabubulunan na ko dito [kasi] dalawang beses sinabi ni Ma’am Inday Sara na ako ang magiging next Speaker of the House. Salamat po, Ma’am, sa tiwala at kumpiyansa sa akin. I am humbled by the mere mentioning of my name,” ani Romualdez.

Nang tanungin upang linawin ang kanyang endorsement kay Romualdez sinabi ni Mayor Duterte na patuloy pa ring sinusuportahan si Alan Peter Cayetano para maging susunod na Speaker.

Anya, wala pa namang kasiguraduhan ang lahat dahil wala pa namang eleksyon.
