Pagkalas ng Pilipinas sa ICC, epektibo na

Opisyal nang kumalas ang Pilipinas sa pagiging miyembro ng International Criminal Court (ICC).

Ayon sa ulat ng Agence France-Press, sinabi ni United Nations spokesperson Erik Kaneko na ipinaalam ng Secretary General na epektibo na ang pag-alis ng bansa sa ICC simula kahapon (Mar.17).

Bagaman kumalas sa ICC, tuloy pa rin umano ang imbestigasyon nito sa giyera kontra droga ng Pilipinas.

Noong February 2018 ay isinulong ni ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda ang preliminary investigastion sa umanoy ‘crimes against humanity’ ng drug war ng administrasyon.

Ito ang dahilan ng pagkalas ng Pilipinas sa Hague-based tribunal at ayon kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, kahit kailan ay hindi makikipagtulungan ang gobyerno sa ICC.

Ang Pilipinas ay ang ikalawang bansa na kumalas sa ICC matapos ang Burundi noong October 2017.
