Kasama ng Pilipinas ang European powerhouse na Serbia, Italy at Angola sa Group D ng 2019 Fiba World Cup matapos ang draw na ginawa sa Shenzhen Cultural Center sa China araw ng Sabado.
Ang Serbia, na natalong finalist sa 2014 Fiba World Cup at pang-apat sa mga best teams sa buong bansa, ay ang paboritong manguna sa Group D.
Habang ang Pilipinas ay kasalukuyang nasa 31st rank, 18 spots na mas mababa sa Italy pero 8 slots na mataas kaysa Angola.
Ang top 2 teams sa kada grupo ay aabante sa second round kung saan ang dalawang best teams sa naturang round ay aabante naman sa quarterfinals.
Ang dalawang best finishers sa grupo ng Pilipinas ay makakasama ang kanilang counterparts sa Group C para sa second round.
