LOOK: 46 ‘narco politicians’ sinampahan ng reklamo ng DILG sa Ombudsman

Sa utos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, sinampahan ng reklamo ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa Office of the Ombudsman araw ng Huwebes ang 46 incumbent government officials dahil sa umanoy pagkasangkot nila sa kalakalan ng illegal na droga.

Ayon kay DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Año, ang inisyal na listahan ng “narco pols” na kanilang inireklamo sa Ombudsman ay galing sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Kabilang sa initial list ang 35 mayors, pitong vice-mayors, isang provincial board member at tatlong kongresista.

Ang 46 “narco politicians” ay nahaharap sa kasong administratibo na grave misconduct, conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service, conduct unbecoming of a public officer at gross neglect of duty.

Sinabi pa ni Año na ang pagkasangkot ng mga respondents sa illegal drugs ay masusing sinuri at kinumpirma ng Inter-agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) na pinumumunuan ng PDEA sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), at iba pang kaukulang ahensya ng gobyerno.

Una rito noong August 2016 ay inanunsyo na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mahabanag listahan ng mga personalidad na umanoy dawit sa illegal drug trade kabilang ang mga hukom, lokal na opisyal at retired at active police officers.

Samantala sinabi ni DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya na matapos ang validation, lumabas na ang mga personalidad na kasama sa listahan ay mga “potential violators, coddlers, and active participants and stakeholders in the illegal drug trade.”

“With the filing of cases with the Ombudsman, those in the initial Narcolist that was released by the President will now have an opportunity to refute or rebut the allegations against them,” ani Malaya.

Kung pagbabasehan ang regional location, lumalabas na sa narco list ay mayroong tig isa mula sa Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, MIMAROPA, at CARAGA Region; tig dalawa mula sa Central Visayas at Zamboanga Peninsula; tig tatlo mula sa Central Luzon at SOCCSKSARGEN; apat mula sa Northern Mindanao; at lima mula sa Western Visayas.

Habang ang Calabarzon at Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) ay mayroong tig sampung lokal na opisyal na nasa narco list.
