Pondo para sa cloud seeding inilabas na ng NDRRMC
Nakatanggap na ng go signal ang Philippine Air Force para sa isasagawang cloud seeding operations bilang solusyon sa nararamdamang El Niño phenomenon.
Ayon kay Air Force spokesperson Major Aristides Galang, posibleng magsimula ang operasyon sa lalawigan ng Isabela ngayong darating na weekend.
Gagamitin ng 900th Air Force Weather Group sa operasyon ang Nomad aircraft mula sa 220th Airlift Wing ng Benito Ebuen Air Base sa Cebu City.
Ani Galang, magmumula sa Department of Agriculture (DA) ang mga prayoridad na lugar para sa operasyon.
Nasa P18.3 Million ang inilabas na pondo ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council o NDRRMC sa D-A regional offices para sa naturang operasyon.
Base sa kanilang assessment, inirekomendang isagawa ang operasyon sa Region 2 at 12 mula March 14 hanggang May 21.
