Registration para sa National ID magsisimula na sa Setyembre
Inanunsyo ni House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo na magsisimula na ang unang batch ng registration para sa implementasyon ng National Identification System sa Setyembre.
Sa panayam ng media kahapon, araw ng Martes, sinabi ni Arroyo na ‘all systems go’ na ang national ID system batay sa timeline ne iprinisenta sa kanya.
Ipinaalam kay Arroyo ng House oversight committee on population and family relations ang developments para sa national ID system.
Isang hearing ang ginanap sa Dumaguete City kasama ang mga opisyal ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) at ang principal author ng batas na si Rep. Arnie Teves at dito sinabing ilalabas na ang first batch ng national IDs sa Setyembre.
Ayon kay PSA deputy national statistician Atty. Lourdines dela Cruz, ang unang batch na naka-schedule na magparehistro ay indigents, persons with disabilities (PWDs), at ilang government workers.
Matatandaang nilagdaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang RA 11055 o Philippine Identification System noong August 2018.
