2019 national budget, hindi pa rin naresolba matapos ang pulong ni Duterte sa mga mambabatas

Hindi pa rin malinaw kung naresolba na ang panukalang P3.757 trilyon na 2019 national budget matapos ang pulong ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga lider ng Senado at Kamara.

Pahayag ito ni Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri matapos ang meeting nila sa Pangulo.

“The President had asked us to pass the budget so that the programs of government can continue… We still met while the President had left but there’s still no consensus unfortunately,” ani Zubiri.

Samantala, sinabi ni Senate President Tito Sotto na desidido ang Pangulo na maresolba ang “impasse.”

Sinimulan umano ni Pangulong Duterte ang pulong sa pahayag na hindi niya pipirmahan ang budget kapag hindi ito pinirmahan ni Sotto.

Iminungkahi ni Sen. Panfilo Lacson na bawiin ng Kamara ang kopya ng budget na kanilang ipinadala sa Pangulo at ibalik ang bicam report na inaprubahan ng dalawang kapulungan ng Kongreso.

Ayon kay Sotto, hindi tinutulan ng Kamara ang mungkahi ni Lacson.

“The President and members of the Executive Department concurred. The House of Representatives appeared to have acquiesced but we have yet to see if they will follow the agreement,” pahayag ni Sotto.

Layon sana ng pulong ng Pangulo sa mga mambabatas na plantsahin ang gulo sa pagitan ng Senado at Kamara, dahilan kaya hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa aprubado ang national budget.

Matapos maratipikahan ang bicam report ukol sa national budget ngayong taon ay ibinunyag ni Sotto na may ni-realign umanong P79 bilyon ang Kamara, bagay na itinanggi ni House Appropriations Committee Chairman Rolando Andaya.
