WATCH: Bahagi ng Estrella Service Road, isasara simula Mar. 23

Simula na sa March 23 ang dalawang taong pagsasara ng bahagi ng Estrella Service Road para bigyang daan ang reconstruction ng Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge.

Ayon kay Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Jojo Garcia, isasara sa mga motorista ang Estrella Service Road mula Gumamela Street hanggang J.P. Rizal Street alas 11:00 ng gabi sa March 23.

“Lahat ng kalsada sa vicinity lilinisin natin yan. […] Starting Monday we are going to clear all alternate routes so hopefully maayos natin yan. Ang makikinabang dito ay mga taga-Makati rin,” ani Garcia sa press briefing sa MMDA Office.

Samantala, sinabi ni Garcia na ang Estrella Service Road papuntang Rockwell ay bukas pa rin sa mga motorista.

Magsasagawa ng clearing operation sa mga alternatibong ruta na Camia, Progreso at Gumamela Streets.

Sinabi naman ni Eric Bautista, officer in charge ng Makati Public Safety Department, magpapatupad ang MMDA ng one-side parking sa Camia Street.

“Iki-clear mainly first yung Camia, Camia street na yan meron tayong barangay ordinance allowing one-side parking. Clearing means walang magpa-park dahil nga gagawing two-way siya to be clear for any construction,” pahayag ni Bautista sa panayam matapos ang press conference.

Papayagan anya ang parking mula 9:00 ng gabi hanggang 6:00 ng umaga pero dapat na wala ng mga sasakyan sa kalsada alas 6:01 ng umaga.

Ang Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge, na nagkokonekta sa Makati at Mandaluyong ay isinara para sa demolition at reconstruction noong January 19.
