1 umano’y NPA terrorist, patay sa bakbakan sa Masbate
Patay ang isang umano’y New People’s Army (NPA) terrorist habang sugatan ang isang sundalo sa engkwentro sa Masbate.
Ayon sa Police Regional Office 5, nakasagupa ng mga elemento ng 1st Police Mobile Force Company, Regional Intelligence Division 5 at 96th Military Intelligence Company ang 30 CPP-NPA terrorists sa combat operation sa Barangay Gangao sa Baleno, Sabado ng umaga.
Pinamumunuan umano ang mga rebelde ng isang Rolidel Tugbo alyas “Nonoy,” “Tugbo,” o “Ka Bungkig.”
Tumagal ng dalawang oras ang bakbakan sa pagitan ng mga tropa ng pamahalaan at rebeldeng grupo.
Nakuha ng mga otoridad ang M16 assault rifle, Molotov bomb, tatlong rocket-propelled grenade, dalawang M203 40-mm grenade launcher, isang cellphone at ilang dokumento.
Ayon sa pulisya, nakatakas ang mga rebelde.
Patuloy naman ang search operation ng mga sundalo sa lugar.
