Mahathir: Malaysia tutulong sa pag-unlad ng Mindanao
Nagpahayag ng kahandaan ang Malaysia sa pamamagitan ni Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad na tumulong sa pagpapaunlad sa Mindanao matapos ang ratipikasyon ng Bangsamoro Organic Law.
Ang pahayag ni Mahathir ay matapos ang kanyang bilateral meeting kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Malacañang kahapon (Mar.7).
“Given the vast economic potential of this area, I believe with the establishment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao or BARMM, we have to boost economic ties between both countries. I therefore assured Mr. President of Malaysia’s desire to continue to be of help in the development of Mindanao,” ani Mahathir.
Umaasa anya si Mahathir sa magiging maayos na paglilipat ng Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao sa bagong Bangsamoro Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao.
Tumayong third party facilitator ang Malaysia sa pakikipagdayalogo ng gobyerno sa Moro Islamic Liberation Front para sa kasunduang naging basehan para mabuo ang BOL.
Samantala, tinalakay din ng dalawang lider ang mga programa para sa mga guro at mag-aaral sa mga Madrasah partikular sa Mindanao maging ang mga dapat gawin para maresolba ang problema sa terorismo at karahasan sa pamamagitan ng Trilateral Cooperation Agreement.
Nagpasalamat naman si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Malaysia para sa patuloy na suporta nito sa Mindanao.
