Mga residente sa 4 na lugar sa bansa pinag-iingat sa pagkain ng shellfish
Nagpositibo sa paralytic shellfish poison (PSP) ang mga shellfish mula sa apat na lugar sa bansa.
Sa abiso ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) araw ng Miyerkules, mataas ang lebel ng marine biotoxin sa mga sumusunod na lugar:
- San Pedro Bay sa Western Samar
- Lianga Bay sa Surigao del Sur
- coastal waters ng Dauis sa Bohol
- coastal waters ng Tagbilaran City sa Bohol
Dahil dito, lahat ng uri ng shellfish maging ang Acetes o alamang ay hindi ligtas na kainin ayon sa BFAR.
Samantala, nilinaw naman ng ahensya na ang isda, pusit, hipon at alimango ay ligtas kainin basta’t sisiguruhing ito ay sariwa, nahugasang mabuti at natanggal ang mga hasang at bituka bago lutuin.
Samantala, sa abiso rin ng BFAR, ligtas na sa red tide ang coastal waters ng Pampanga at Cancabato Bay sa Tacloban, Leyte.
