Ayon sa Malacañang, pupunan ni Tijam ang isnag bakanteng puwesto sa nasabing judicial body
Nagretiro si Tijam Sa SC noong January 5 matapos sumapit sa pitumpong taong gulang na mandatory age of retirement sa Mataas na Hukuman.
Si Tijam ay nagtapos sa san beda college na may degree sa Philosophy at Political Science bago kumuha ng Law.
Bago napunta sa Korte Suprema, nagsilbi muna itong legal consultant sa Senado at sa Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).
Si Tijam ang nagponente sa desisyon na nagpatalsik kay dating Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno noong Mayo taong 2018.
