Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, peke man o hindi, dapat nang umaksyon ang pamahalaan dahil sa panganib na dulot ng naturang internet game.
Dapat aniyang imonitor ng DICT at DepEd at ng mga magulang ang mga bata sa paggamit ng internet.
“Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Acting Secretary Eliseo Rio said that whether the Momo challenge is a hoax or not, the Department is warning the public of the dangers which can be found in the internet. The DICT, together with the Department of Education (DepEd), is targeting parents to monitor and give guidance to their children on how to use the internet,” ayon kay Panelo.
Matatandaang naalarma ang publiko sa Momo Challenge dahil sa nanghihikayat umano ito sa mga bata na magpakamatay o ‘di kaya ay saktan ang sarili at kapwa.
