US at SoKor, tatapusin na ang kanilang key joint military exercises
Tatapusin na ng Estados Unidos at South Korea ang kanilang annual large-scale joint military exercises.
Ang desisyon ay lumabas ilang araw matapos na makipagpulong si US President Donald Trump at North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sa Hanoi, Vietnam.
Batay sa isang Pentagon statement, nakausap sa telepono ni South Koream Defense Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo at kanyang US counterpart na si Patrick Shanahan.
Nagkasundo umano ang magkabilang-panig na tapusin na ang “Key Resolve and Foal Eagle exercises.”
Nakasaad pa sa pahayag na nagpasya sila na i-carry out o isagawa na lamang ang “adjusted outside maneuver trainings and united command exercises” upang maituloy ang matatag na military readiness.
Ang Foal Eagle ay ang pinakamalaking regular joint exercises ng Amerika at South Korea, kung saan karaniwang kabahagi ang nasa 200,000 South Korean forces at humigit-kumulang 30,000 US soldiers.
Ang Key Resolve naman ay isang computer-simulated war game na ginagawa ng military commanders.
