P900 minimum wage itinutulak para sa construction workers

Ipinananawagan ng party-list group na ACTS-OFW na gawing P900 ang minimum wage ng mga construction workers.

Ito ay upang matugunan ang problema ng kakulangan sa construction workers dahil sa pagtatrabaho abroad.

Iginiit ni ACTS-OFW Rep. Aniceto Bertiz III na ang ibang bansa ay nagbabayad para sa construction workers ng sampung beses na mas malaki sa P537 minimum wage sa Metro Manila.

Halimbawa anya sa New Zealand ay nakatatanggap ng P5,300 kada araw ang Filipino construction workers bukod pa sa benefits.

Naniniwala ang mambabatas na maraming construction workers na mananatili sa piling ng kanilang mga pamilya basta’t makakakuha ang mga ito ng mas mataas na sahod.

Anya pa, sa ilalim ng batas, ang mga regional tripartite wages and productivity boards ay maaaring magpatupad ng fix minimum wages sa kada industriya o sektor at hindi lamang sa bawat teritoryo.
