Mahigit 200,000 Comelec checkpoints naisagawa na ng PNP
Nakapagsagawa na ang PNP ng 215,056 Comelec checkpoints sa buong bansa simula noong unang araw ng election period noong January 13 hanggang noong Huwebes, February 28.
Bukod pa dito, ang halos 15,000 joint PNP – AFP checkpoints, ang 380 pagsisilbi ng search warrants at 28 warrant of arrest.
Sa mga naisagawang checkpoints, 199 ang naaresto, 392 naman sa pagsisilbi ng mga warrants na inilabas ng mga korte.
Kasama sa mga naaresto, ang 1,962 sibilyan, 22 pulis, tatlong sundalo at 27 opisyal ng gobyerno.
Halos 1,600 ibat ibang uri ng mga armas naman ang nakumpiska, bukod pa sa halos 500 pampasabog at higit 12,000 bala.
