NTC nagpatawag ng pulong sa Committee for the Special Protection of Children dahil sa “Momo Challenge”
Nagpatawag ng pulong ang National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) ngayong araw kasunod ng mga pangamba matapos ang viral online suicide challenge na “Momo Challenge”.
Inimbitahan ng NTC sa nasabing pulong ang mga miyembro ng Committee for the Special Protection of Children mula sa Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), at Philippine National Police (PNP).
Imbitado rin sa pulong si Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Sec. Eliseo Rio Jr. o kinatawan nito.
Ang DICT ang namumuno sa Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center na binuo sa ilalim ng Republic Act 10175 o Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Ang naturang pulong ay gaganapin alas 2:00 ng hapon, Biyernes, March 1 sa NTC Building.
Ayon sa NTC may kapangyarihan silang atasan ang internet service provider na i-block ang websites na nagdudulot ng hindi maganda sa publiko.
Partikular kung ito ay mayroong harmful content at nagpapakita ng online harassment.
