Dumating na si US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo sa Pilipinas, Huwebes ng gabi.
Sinalubong ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Pompeo para sa kaniyang isang araw na pagbisita sa bansa.
Dumating ang sinasakyang eroplano ni Pompeo sa Villamor Airbase bandang 9:30 ng gabi.
Kasama ng pangulo na sumalubong kay Pompeo sina Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdia, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez at DFA Assistant Sec. Lumen Esleta.
Kasama naman sa US delegasyon sina US Ambassador to the Philippine Sung Kim, Senior Bureau Official Patrick Murphy at Robert Palladino na deputy spokesperson ng US Department of State.
Matatandaang sinabi ni Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo na tatalakayin ng Punong Ehekutibo at Pompeo ang “mutually beneficial” issues sa pagitan ng Maynila at Washington.
