Naarestong doktor dahil sa droga, matagal nang AWOL – DOH
Inihayag ng Department of Health (DOH) na matagal nang absent without official leave o AWOL ang naarestong medical officer na si Dr. Vanjoe De Guzman.
Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ng DOH-Metro Manila Center for Health Development na nagsimulang hindi pumasok si De Guzman noong November 2018.
Nagparating ng pagkadismaya ang DOH-MMCHD sa pagkakaaresto kay De Guzman.
Si De Guzman ay dating regular na empleyado ng DOH simula February 2015.
Pinadalhan pa umano ng liham si De Guzman na kailangan mag-report sa opisina ngunit hindi ito pumasok.
Dahil dito, sinabi ng DOH-MMCHD na agad naglabas ng Order of Separation at nagpatupad ng disciplinary proceedings katuwang ang Civil Service Commission (CSC) para ma-dismiss sa serbisyo si De Guzman.
Suportado anila ang war on drugs campaign ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Dagdag pa nito, dumadaan ang lahat ng kanilang empleyado anuman ang employment status sa Annual Mandatory Random Drug Testing.
Maliban kay De Guzman, naaresto pa ang anim na iba pa sa ikinasang buy-bust operation sa California Garden Condominium sa Mandaluyong City.
