2 high speed boats ibinigay ng Japan sa Philippine Coast Guard

Tumanggap ng dalawang high speed boats ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) mula sa bansang Japan.

Dinaluhan ni Ambassasor Koji Haneda, Japanese ambassador to the Philippines ang turn-over ceremony at tinanggap ni PCG commandant, Admiral Elson E Hermogino ang dalawang speed boats.

Ang naturang speed boats ay gagamitin sa mga anti-piracy at counter-terrorism operation ng PCG.

Sinabi ni Hermogino na malaking tulong ito lalo at sunud-sunod ang pagkakatuklas sa mga naglulutangang cocaine sa karagatan ng bansa.

Ang speed boat ay may maximum speed na 50 nautical miles per hour at kayang makapagsakay ng walong personnel.

Pinasalamatan ni Hermogino ang Japan government sa naturang kagamitan.
