Malawakang ‘operation baklas,’ isasagawa bukas

Magsasagawa ng malawakang “operation baklas” ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) bukas, February 28.

Makakatuwang ng poll body sa Joint Massive Operation Baklas ang Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) at Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Ang aktibidad ay mag-uumpisa ng alas 10:30 ng umaga, kung saan ilang lugar sa Metro Manila ang pupuntahan.

Kabilang na rito ang ilang lugar sa Mandaluyong, San Juan, Caloocan, at Quezon City.

Ang operation baklas ay crackdown sa mga campaign materials ng mga kandidato gaya ng banners, tarpaulin at kahalintulad na nakakabit o nakasabit sa mga pampublikong lugar.

Bawal ang campaign materials sa mga plaza, palengke, barangay centers, government buildings at simbahan.
