Halos 12,000 deadly weapons, nakumpiska simula ng ipatupad ang gun ban

Halos 12,000 na deadly weapon ang nakumpiska ng Philippine National Police (PNP) simula nang ipatupad ang gun ban noong January 13 para sa 2019 midterm elections.

Sa inilabas na datos ng PNP Public Information Office, nasa kabuuang 11,920 na ang bilang ng deadly weapons na nakuha ng PNP.

Samantala, 1,731 katao naman ang naaresto sa mga ikinasang ‘focused police operations’ mula January 13, 2019 hanggang February 20, 2019.

948 sa nasabing bilang ay nahuli sa pamamagitan ng ‘police patrol response,’ 293 sa bisa ng search warrant, 181 sa checkpoint operations at 17 naman sa bisa ng warrant of arrest.

Mas mataas ito nang 578 sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naaresto mula sa datos noong February 7, 2019.

Ang karagdagang 292 naman ay inaresto sa police operation plans tulad ng Oplan Bakal, Sita, Galugad at iba pa.

Mula January 13, nakarekober ng PNP ng 364 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at iba pang klase ng pampasabog, 569 na matatalim na bagay at 86 granada.

Batay pa sa datos, nasa 1,380 na armas ang nakumpiska at isinuko sa pulisya.
