2 miyembro ng NPA patay sa engkwentro sa Oriental Mindoro
Patay ang dalawang hinihinalang New People’s Army (NPA) sa engkwentro sa militar sa bayan ng Mansalay sa Oriental Mindoro.
Ayon kay Lt. Felise Vida Solano, public information officer ng Southern Luzon Command ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) nangyari ang engkwentro sa Barangay Teresita alas 4:30 ng umaga ng Huwebes, Feb. 21.
Nakasagupa umano ng mga tauhan ng 4th Infantry Battalion ng Philippine Army ang mga rebelde na nagresulta sa pagkasawi ng dalawang miyembro ng NPA na hindi pa nakikilala.
Na-recover ng militar ang labi ng dalawang nasawi.
Nakuha din ang isang M16 rifle at tatlong backpacks na iniwan ng mga tumakas na rebelde.
